Install NeoDJ Pro and start the 14-day demo Installation, first launch and activation of the free trial with no payment details.
- Download the latest installation package for your operating system from the OffPrism download area.
- Extract or install NeoDJ Pro and launch the application.
- In the startup dialog, select “Start 14-day demo”. The trial begins with this activation.
- Then import a music folder and let the first tracks be analyzed.
Practical tipThe trial version ends automatically. No payment details are required and no subscription is entered into.
Analyze tracks and build a reliable library Prepare BPM, Beatgrid, key, energy and track structure for mixing and AutoMix.
- Import your music via “Import folder” or “Import track(s)”.
- Let new tracks be fully analyzed before scheduling them for a longer AutoMix.
- For complex or live-recorded tracks, spot-check the BPM and Beatgrid.
- Use collections and playlists to separate the style, energy and intended use of your tracks.
Practical tipA clean analysis is the foundation for phrase-accurate transitions. Faulty Beatgrids directly affect sync and AutoMix.
Use AutoMix 2.0 for phrase-aware transitions Plan musical transitions, protect core sections and avoid transitions that are too short.
- Open AutoMix and select the desired source, dramaturgy and variant.
- Select AutoMix 2.0 as the engine so that track structure, phrases, tempo, key and energy are evaluated together.
- Where possible, use fully analyzed extended or club mixes with a reliable Beatgrid.
- Before a long set, review the first planned transitions and adjust the source playlist for stylistic outliers.
Practical tipAutoMix 2.0 protects drops, breaks and central song sections and favors musically suitable intro/outro and phrase areas.
Prepare clean manual transitions Preview, sync, start on the phrase and hand over the frequency range in a controlled way.
- Load the next track into a free deck and preview it via CUE.
- Check the tempo, key, Beatgrid and a suitable start point at the beginning of a phrase.
- Sync the track or match the tempo and phase manually.
- Start the new track at the beginning of a phrase and hand over bass, mids and highs in a controlled way instead of just moving the volume fader.
Practical tipFor electronic club music, transitions over 16 or 32 beats are often more natural than very short crossfades.
Use Stems for mash-ups and low-conflict transitions Isolate or remove vocals, drums, bass and melody from the mix in a targeted way.
- Prepare the desired track for Stems and open the STEMS deck mode.
- For overlapping tracks, first reduce competing bass or vocal parts.
- Use solo and mute to prepare; make level changes during the transition in a controlled way.
- End the transition with a clear musical handover to the new track.
Practical tipTwo dominant vocals or basslines at the same time quickly create clutter. Stems help you avoid these conflicts in a targeted way.
Create your first audio-reactive show in the VFX Studio Select a visual, check the audio reaction and output safely to a second display.
- Open the VFX Studio and select a preset or a shader.
- Check the reaction to master audio and adjust the effect parameters in the preview.
- Define transitions or a sequence in the show workflow.
- Select the desired second screen or projector as the output only after a preview check.
Practical tipTest the resolution and frame rate before going live. On macOS, only platform-compatible shaders and plugins should be used.
Customize decks, waveforms and interface Tailor NeoDJ Pro to two- or four-deck workflows and to your own way of working.
- Open the settings and select the desired deck layout.
- Adjust the waveform display, deck overview, colors and theme.
- Show only the areas you actually need during your set.
- Test the layout with your controller and save the configuration before going live.
Practical tipA compact interface with a clear information hierarchy reduces eye movement and operating errors during live use.
Activate a license or move it to another device Use a license key, check device slots and release an existing activation.
- Open NeoDJ Pro and select license activation.
- Enter the license key from your order confirmation or the OffPrism account.
- For a device change, first release the previous activation in the app or the device management.
- Then activate the new device with the same license key.
Practical tipThe number of available device slots is shown for your license in the customer account.
Find your order, invoice, download and license code Open all purchase-related documents and software access in the OffPrism account.
- Sign in to the OffPrism account with the email address used at purchase and your password.
- Open the desired purchase under “Orders”.
- There you will find the invoice, license key, line items and the matching downloads.
- For a confidential question, use the private support area of the respective app.
Practical tipNever provide license keys, order numbers or invoice details in a public community post.
Narrow down audio dropouts and performance problems Systematically check system load, audio buffer, background analysis, plugins and VFX output.
- Close unnecessary background programs and check CPU, GPU and disk load.
- As a test, increase the audio buffer and use the latest driver for your audio interface.
- Pause extensive track or Stems analyses during a live set.
- As a test, disable individual VST3 plugins or demanding VFX presets to narrow down the cause.
Practical tipNote the operating system, NeoDJ version, audio device, buffer size and the last steps before the error for a meaningful bug report.
Report an unsuitable AutoMix transition Gather the necessary information so that a structural transition error can be reproduced.
- Note the title and version of both tracks as well as the AutoMix engine and variant used.
- Describe the incorrect entry or exit point, if possible with a time position.
- Check whether both tracks were fully analyzed and the Beatgrid is set correctly.
- Create a topic in the “Bugs & Errors” board without uploading music files or copyrighted content.
Practical tipScreenshots of the waveform and the analysis values often help more than a general description such as “the transition sounds wrong”.
Lightrails: release status and upcoming documentation Where the download, system requirements and first workflows will appear after release.
- Lightrails is currently in development.
- The first public download will be published in the OffPrism download area.
- Installation, recording, color and delivery guides will be added here on an app-specific basis.
Practical tipCreate an OffPrism account so you can later use the community and private support for Lightrails.
